We are looking for a Produce Manager to join our team. The marketing team at Winder Farms is a small, fun, and strategically important group, responsible for setting the direction of the brand.  The Produce Manager will join this team to help us build a healthy community and deliver great food.


If you are looking for an opportunity to utilize your product management skills and talents in the produce and food industry, we invite you to apply.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and in making a difference in the community, focusing on our produce category.  As a Marketing Product Manager you will be given the challenge to evaluate trends, determine relevant and sustainable products and strengthen the brand and category. 


Source, price, and promote produce items -- This includes managing costs and pricing, putting together promotional plans for purchasers and non-purchaser of produce items, appropriately merchandising produce products on customer-facing website, and working with suppliers and farmers to launch products that properly position the produce category.
Lead direction for in-house produce program -- This includes setting contents for produce boxes, working with Operations to oversee correct packing of boxes to maintain produce quality, working with Purchasing and Finance to price and establish BOM for weekly boxes.
Lead sustainability efforts within the company – Strong understanding of and passion for best-practices of corporate sustainability practices.
Community Involvement – Through partnering with local farms and suppliers, help us build healthy communities and maintain a positive image in the local communities and highlight these initiatives to our customers and community partners.


Previous produce and/or product purchasing
Marketing/merchandising experience, a plus.
Possess an understanding of proper care and storage of produce, and the ability to develop a creative plan to improve the quality and offering of our produce.
Possess a strong understanding and passion for the industry -- relationships with local farms is a plus.
Creative approach to produce and the end consumer.
BS/BA in a relevant field preferred.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
A self-starter with strong strategic-thinking abilities and analytical mindset.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
